On January 10, with a?total?investment of 130 million yuan, Reignwood’s first deep processing production base for osmanthus flowers, constructed by Reignwood?Limei Technology (Hubei) Co., Ltd., officially opened and commenced production?in the High-tech Zone of Xianning, Hubei Province.
Reignwood?Group has been rooted in Xianning for 20 years, successively investing in key projects such as the China Red Bull production base and Reignwood?Jingui?Lake low-carbon demonstration area. As of now, the total industrial output value of China Red Bull has exceeded 53.8 billion yuan, and?Reignwood Food Industrial Park has generated an output value of over 80 billion yuan, providing significant support for driving the high-quality economic development of Xianning.
On April 29, 2021, Yan Bin, Chairman of Reignwood?Group, reached a new consensus on cooperation with the Xianning Municipal Committee and the municipal government, making a significant strategic decision to support the construction of "Xianning - China Osmanthus City." This initiative aims to fully leverage Xianning's resource advantages and engage in research of osmanthus deep processing technolog?and production. With the support of various departments in Xianning, the Reignwood?osmanthus deep processing production base project commenced in April 2024 and entered trial production in December of the same year. The project achieved its planning, construction, and regulatory compliance goals within just eight months, setting a new benchmark for "Xianning speed" and highlighting the formidable strength of collaboration between private enterprises.
Technological innovation is the core driving force for advancing the osmanthus industry in Xianning toward high quality. Since 2021, Reignwood?Group has partnered with the Xianning municipal government and various stakeholders to establish the "Xianning Osmanthus Deep Processing Technology Enterprise-School Joint Innovation Center," dedicated to overcoming challenges in osmanthus extraction technology. Notably, the innovative application of two key technologies — column vacuum condensing drying technology and supercritical carbon dioxide fluid — has reached international advanced standards.
At the 2024 Asia Essential Oil Conference, products crafted with this advanced technology were showcased for the first time, capturing the attention and admiration of representatives from thirteen fragrance associations across the Asia-Pacific region. They were particularly praised for their "distinctive purity and rich osmanthus fragrance."
The Reignwood osmanthus deep processing production base, with an investment of 130 million yuan, is designed to handle 200 tons of fresh osmanthus flowers annually. The facility plans to continuously expand its product range by producing osmanthus cell liquid and osmanthus essential oil while exploring innovative combinations of osmanthus with Reignwood's fast-moving consumer goods beverages to enhance industry scale and influence.
Currently, Reignwood?Limei Technology (Hubei) Co., Ltd. has signed a supply agreement for 400,000 jin of osmanthus flowers with the Osmanthus Town in the Xianning District of Xi'an City for purification and production purposes. With the commissioning of the production base, the processing capacity and product variety of the osmanthus industry in Xianning will significantly increase, allowing for the in-depth development and efficient utilization of osmanthus resources, thereby empowering the transformation and upgrading of the industry chain.
